The Master’s degree programme was founded in 2009. Here are the most important milestones:
The government gazette of the programme is issued.
The Public-Benefit John S. Latsis Foundation’s funds the establishment of MAOS and fully covers the first five years of its operation (2009-2014). Further on, the programme has been supported financially by OLYMPIAKOS F.C. (2014-2016) and Mytilineos Holdings S.A. (2018-2021).
The first cohort of 31 students from 24 different countries start attending their classes.
Olympic Solidarity (IOC) programme starts providing scholarships to the students of the programme.
A revised studies programme, which includes eight compulsory and five optional courses is introduced. The new curriculum offers students the possibility to choose among many innovative optional courses, selected to cover the contemporary needs in the field of Olympism.
Master’s Degree Programme is successfully reestablished/refounded by the Greek Ministry of Education until the academic year 2027-2028.
Adapting to the new circumstances of the pandemic of COVID-19 with, online classes.
397 students from 104 different countries from all five continents have participated until today.
